Welcome to Our Era:

I’m paying attention to what’s going on in the world and in hip-hop. Hip hop most definitely died and turned over in her grave twice. Especially since Iggy Azelia called herself a rapper. Not only that, we finally got the first black president for two terms and our people are still getting disrespected and murdered.

On Martin Luther King Day, I went to see Selma and not only was I inspired, but I was furious. The level of anger that I felt while watching was unbelievable, my blood pressure was so high, I began to sweat! We, as black people, have not done anything to be treated like animals.

For example, back before Christopher Columbus discovered Native Americans and America, the Europeans took my ancestors from the motherland. Our ancestors were kidnapped and forced here; the least they could have done was treat them with respect.

History is repeating itself, like J. Cole state in “Fire Squad,” in his latest album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. I remember being in middle school and talking to my great-grandmother about her mother and what it was like growing up for her. I remember my great grandmother telling me she lived in fear every day. Fear that something was going to happen to one of her kids, she was also scared for my great-grandfather, and she was scared for her safety. I remember her telling me, “You’re lucky, I lived in fear and you can accomplish what I didn’t.”

I have to say, I’m pretty pissed off at the media and law enforcement around the nation because why are you all killing innocent black people with their hands up and no weapons? I’m done holding my tongue, I’m speaking on how I feel on everything! LET’S BE BRUTALLY HONEST! IF A BLACK MAN KILLED A WHITE KID IN SELF DEFENSE (ZIMMERMAN), THE BLACK GUY WOULD NEVER SEE THE BROAD OF DAYLIGHT AGAIN!

I’m tired of the media and other ignorant people fucking with me and my people, that’s whether you’re white or black. If you’re tired of the bullshit and come to this blog to get your daily dose of realness.
